ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Painting for me has been a soul searching journey that continues to take me down highways never before traveled.

With the evolution of each new painting, comes new appreciation and respect for all the artists who have come before. It is an experience like no other, when one goes from the blank canvas to that finished work that combines all the various elements that make up that completed painting. Only those who have traveled on this journey can understand all that goes into each new work.

I have always loved and appreciated the varied beauty in the outdoor landscape. Its varied shapes, colors, emotion, and texture have always called to me, and I have always wanted to capture their uniqueness.

Art is something that allows one's inner soul to be exposed. When a painting is created, it allows the most inner self of the artist to be viewed by others.

I approach each new painting with great anticipation. I want others to experience this beauty, and I hope to take them on a visual journey through my work.

Painting takes all the experiences one has had during their life and allows it to be expressed in their art.
